The Shack Attack
The Shack, by William Paul Young, has apparently seduced large numbers of readers, rising to the top of the New York Times’ bestseller list. If we are willing to listen and evaluate all things by the standard of Scripture, we might be spared what a number of reputable theologians are calling heresy. Here are a few helpful links as well as the video (7:47) by Mark Driscoll, pastor of Mars Hill in Seattle, WA.
You will find many helpful reviews on the web. The first three are particularly helpful:
- A very helpful review by Tim Challies.
- A good one-page review can be found here: SHACK ATTACK- OR A CALL TO DISCERNMENT?
- Alan Dunn, Pastor of Grace Covenant Baptist Church Flemington, NJ, has written an in depth review called “The Faulty Foundation of The Shack”: Part 1, part 2, part 3 and part 4.
Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry also has a good review.
